Nearly joining African giants is the former coach of the Orlando Pirates!
Former Orlando Pirates coach Fadlu Davids is close to joining African giants and Tanzanian club Simba SC.
This is according to a report iDiski Times who claims Davids will sign a two-year deal to lead Simba starting from next season.
Davids served as an assistant to another former Pirates coach in Josef Zinnbauer at Raja Casablanca last season.
The pair guided Raja to the Botola Pro League title; a historic one in the sense that they were unbeaten in their 30 league games.
Now, having recently completed his UEFA Pro License, Davids appears ready to be his own man again with Simba.
Davids has assembled his own backroom staff, two of which were part of Raja’s technical team last term.
And they are Darian Silken who will be Davids’ assistant and Mueez Kajee will serve as the new performance analyst for Simba.
Furthermore, Mamelodi Sundowns strength and condition coach Riedoh Berdien has also been roped in by Davids at Simba.
Berdien brings with him a wealth of experience on African football and players, especially in Tanzania where he’s worked at Young Africans and the national team.
