After a scorching June, what is still needed for ECU’s 2025 class?
It has been a red hot June for East Carolina’s recruiting class, as the Pirates have racked up 18 pledges since the calendar turned to this month alone.
Official visits and recruiting pitches have been rolling ever since the second weekend in June, and so, too, have the commitments, heading into this week’s start of the dead period.
Head coach Mike Houston and his staff have filled just about every need thus far in some form or fashion, landing 20 total verbal commitments, including a quarterback, a running back, three receivers (counting hybrid TE/WR Stephen Collier as a wide receiver for this exercise), two tight ends, an offensive lineman, three defensive linemen, two projected EDGE players, three linebackers, two cornerbacks, and two safeties.
East Carolina is inside of 70 days of kickoff, when the Pirates take on Norfolk State inside Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium on Aug. 31 to begin the sixth year of the Mike Houston era in Greenville.
To count down the days to kickoff, we will be utilizing the Pirates’ football roster to help us, going in numerical order from the highest number on the roster to the lowest.
