OFFICIAL: Mamelodi Sundowns concludes signing of club records
Sundowns did not announce the details of the Arthur de Oliveira deal but only revealed that the player signed a long-term deal with the club.
According to Transfermarkt, the deal have cost Sundowns €3.2 million, which would make him the most expensive signing in the club’s history, as per the same website.
Sales becomes the club’s third summer signing after deals for Kobamelo Kodisang and Ricardo Gross as the Sundowns are set for a new era following the departure of Rhulani Mokwena.
The Brazilian striker is expected to compete with veteran striker Peter Shalulile for a starting berth after scoring 10 goals and assisting three in Belgium last season, guiding his club to promotion.
During his career, Sales also played for Vasco da Gama, Portuguese club Paços Ferreira, and Bahia of Brazil.
