Three underappreciated Ohio State football players heading into the 2024 campaign

The 2024 season is shaping up to be a pivotal one for Ohio State football, with the team setting its sights on nothing less than a national championship. Amidst the buzz, there are a few players who might not be getting the attention they deserve or have been rumors that they aren’t going to play a huge role during the season.

In this article, we’re highlighting three underrated players who could play crucial roles in Ohio State’s journey this season. These guys may not be in the spotlight, but they have the skills and determination to make a significant impact. Let’s take a closer look at why these players could be the game-changers for the Buckeyes in 2024.

He is under a lot of pressure currently because even he said that it’s Natty or Bust. Anything short of a national championship in 2024 will be a loss for the program and fans. But some fans have been saying that Howard is going to be a system quarterback and all he has to do is at least be decent.

I disagree that Will Howard isn’t full of talent and that he will be a system quarterback. If people believe that the Buckeyes can win a championship with a system quarterback then they need to do some more research. For instance, last year Kyle McCord was a system quarterback, had the best wide receiver in the country, Marvin Harrison Jr., a talented running back with TreVeyon Henderson, and a very good defense. Even with all that McCord couldn’t get it done.

Will Howard won’t be a system quarterback, he will be able to use his feet to make up for plays that fail at the line. With the potential of the offensive line not being the best some sacks will be evaded by Howard being able to get out of pocket and use his feet to get away. I believe Howard will shock many who doubt he will be more than a system quarterback.
