In a moment that rock fans around the world have been dreaming of for years, Led Zeppelin has officially announced a long-awaited reunion tour set to kick off this summer. Aptly titled *The Legacy Tour*, the iconic band will begin their first extensive series of live performances since their legendary 2007 one-off show at London’s O2 Arena. The tour opens on July 10, 2025, at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium and will span major cities across North America, Europe, and Asia.
The reunion brings together original members Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones for what they describe as a “once-in-a-lifetime celebration” of their music, their fans, and their unparalleled legacy in rock history. With the tagline “Nostalgia Awaits,” *The Legacy Tour* promises to honor the past while delivering performances with the intensity, passion, and authenticity that made Led Zeppelin legends in the first place.
“This is something we’ve talked about for years,” said Robert Plant in a joint statement released by the band. “We’ve always known that if the moment felt right, we’d come together again—not just to relive the past, but to celebrate it with the people who kept it alive all these years.”
The 2007 O2 Arena show, held in honor of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, marked the last time the trio performed a full set together. That show quickly became the stuff of rock ‘n’ roll legend, with over 20 million people applying for tickets. Since then, rumors of a full-scale reunion have swirled, only to be shut down by band members themselves—until now.
With over 300 million albums sold worldwide and songs like “Stairway to Heaven,” “Whole Lotta Love,” “Kashmir,” and “Black Dog” etched into the soul of rock music, Led Zeppelin’s return to the stage is nothing short of historic. Each stop on *The Legacy Tour* will feature a career-spanning setlist, drawing from all eight of their studio albums and rare deep cuts that haven’t been played live in decades.
Jimmy Page, the band’s iconic guitarist and founding force, hinted at surprises along the way: “We’re not just putting on a show—we’re crafting an experience. Expect the unexpected.”
Joining the core trio on drums will be Jason Bonham, son of the late John Bonham. Jason has carried the torch of his father’s legacy with class and power and previously played with the band during the 2007 reunion, earning widespread praise for his emotional and technical brilliance.
The tour is being produced in collaboration with Live Nation, and ticket sales are expected to break records. Presale begins on April 25, with general public sales starting April 30. In anticipation of overwhelming demand, the band has announced a ticket lottery system for select venues, ensuring that devoted fans have a fair shot at witnessing rock history.
In addition to the live shows, Led Zeppelin is also releasing a companion documentary titled *Legacy: The Return of the Gods*, which will chronicle the preparation and emotional journey behind the reunion. The film will be directed by Oscar-winner Morgan Neville (*20 Feet from Stardom*) and will premiere in select theaters and on streaming platforms in late 2025.
For fans young and old, *The Legacy Tour* is more than a concert—it’s a pilgrimage. It’s a rare opportunity to witness the thunder of Jimmy Page’s guitar, the power and poetry of Robert Plant’s voice, and the deep groove of John Paul Jones’ bass and keys—all on the same stage again.
