Netflix Set to Release a Biopic on the Life and Career of Bruce Springsteen: “We Are Happy to Announce That We Are Done with Production and It Will Be Released on”

Netflix has officially announced the completion of production on an upcoming biopic centered around the life and career of American rock legend Bruce Springsteen. Titled *Born to Run: The Bruce Springsteen Story*, the highly anticipated film is set to premiere exclusively on the streaming platform later this year. In a statement released by Netflix, producers said, “We are happy to announce that we are done with production and it will be released on October 18, 2025.”

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Noah Hawley, the biopic chronicles Springsteen’s extraordinary journey from his humble beginnings in Freehold, New Jersey, to becoming one of the most iconic figures in American music. Often referred to as “The Boss,” Springsteen’s career has spanned over five decades, with his emotionally charged songwriting, energetic performances, and deep-rooted storytelling earning him a place in the hearts of fans around the world.

The film stars Jeremy Allen White, best known for his role in *The Bear*, portraying Springsteen with an uncanny likeness and raw intensity. Early buzz from insiders suggests that White’s performance captures both the quiet introspection and fiery passion that define Springsteen’s persona. The biopic will also feature Gabriella Wilde as Patti Scialfa, Springsteen’s wife and longtime E Street Band member, and J.K. Simmons as Jon Landau, his longtime manager and producer.

*Born to Run* is said to offer a deep, emotional look into Springsteen’s life beyond the spotlight. The film follows key moments from his childhood, the early struggles of his music career, and the formation of the E Street Band, to his breakthrough with albums like *Born to Run*, *Darkness on the Edge of Town*, and *Born in the U.S.A.* The story also touches on his battles with depression, his evolving relationship with fame, and the powerful connection he maintains with his audience.

In true Springsteen fashion, the soundtrack will play a central role in the storytelling, featuring remastered versions of his greatest hits as well as several previously unreleased demos and live recordings. Netflix worked closely with Springsteen and his team throughout the production process to ensure authenticity and respect for his legacy. According to sources close to the project, Springsteen was “deeply moved” after watching the final cut.

This marks Netflix’s latest entry into high-profile music biopics, following the success of *Maestro* and *The Dirt*. With its blend of drama, music, and historical moments, *Born to Run* is expected to resonate with fans of all ages.

As the October 18 release date approaches, anticipation is building among Springsteen’s global fanbase. Whether you’ve been following The Boss since the ’70s or are just now discovering his music, this biopic promises to be a powerful tribute to a true American icon.

*Born to Run: The Bruce Springsteen Story* will be available for streaming worldwide on Netflix starting October 18, 2025.
