During a headline concert at UTAS Stadium in Launceston, Tasmania on January 24, 2026, Dave Grohl confirmed that Foo Fighters have completed recording their 12th studio album.

The announcement was made during the encore of the band’s only scheduled Australian date of the year, a sold-out three-hour performance for approximately 26,000 fans. While introducing the song “Exhausted,” Grohl told the crowd, “we might have a whole new record of f—ing songs that we just finished the other day”.
