On 21 July 2025, SpaceX called off the launch of the SES O3b mPOWER internet spacecraft 11 seconds before its scheduled launch aboard a Falcon 9 rocket. However, the space firm announced that they will be pushing the launch to 22 July 2025 and assured the public that both the launch vehicle and payload are in perfect condition.

 

On 22 July 2025, SpaceX successfully launched the SES O3b mPOWER internet spacecraft into space. This launch marked the fifth launch by SpaceX for its client SES Satellites.

 

The just-launched satellite will join the O3b mPOWER constellation in space, which consists of eight satellites. Boeing built the just-launched SES O3b mPOWER satellite, and it’ll help enhance global internet coverage as provided by SES Satellites while increasing the capacity of its second-generation system.
